Preventative maintenance

A little preventative maintenance will do wonders when it comes to prolonging the life and beauty of your tile. First, always remove shoes before walking across your flooring, especially if you've been outside. Next, make sure you have the right tools for the job: a high-quality vacuum without a beater brush (this can cause scratching) and a wet mop. Use both as needed, but don't use the mop on your new tile until the grout has cured!

Dealing with spills

Spills happen, no matter how careful you are. Fortunately, tile flooring is simple to clean! For most liquid messes, you can simply wipe them away with a cloth. Don't let moisture sit on your flooring, as it can dull the surface or damage the grout. When using cleaning products, don't use any with vinegar, ammonia, or anything else that can be abrasive enough to damage your grout. For more difficult messes, consult the manufacturer's cleaning guide.
