Preparing for carpet installation
Although we'll handle the hard part, it helps to be prepared. While you can always consult with us whenever you have questions or concerns, there are a few steps you can take right away to help things go smoothly.
Consider your current flooring
In many cases, your old flooring will need to be removed before carpeting can be installed.
Empty out the room
The room will need to be emptied prior to floor installation. We ask that you remove all breakables, electronics, and small items. Our team will remove and reset all large items.
During and after carpet installation
When your carpet crew arrives, an adult member of your household should greet them and show them to the work area. The lead installer should give you a walkthrough of the job to give you a clear sense of the work involved and how much time it will take. To ensure a safe and smooth installation, keep children and pets away from the work area until the job is done. Feel free to ask your lead installer for recommendations on how and when you can put your furniture back and start using the carpet freely.
